I've been researching different alphabets to inform some of the concepts in the work I'm doing. Its fascinating to me that there are so many different writing systems in the world, but also people are still inventing them...

I started with paint and collage, exploring the tactile possibilities of abstract forms. Then I moved into digital spaces, where I could experiment with motion and light, projecting text onto surfaces to create immersive experiences.

When I began exploring typography as an art form, I was fascinated by how letters and symbols could transcend their literal meanings to express something deeper. It was about crafting a visual language that could convey complex emotions and ideas.

I have always been drawn to abstract work finding it an effective way to articulate complex emotions, but also typography elements, which outlined an honest intention of wanting to communicate something.

I'm developing a system to randomly generate characters from 130 languages. I'm still blown away by the number of new characters I'm finding in alphabets I never knew existed, and I like how this project level cultures and gives equal footing. #CharacterDesign #AlphabetDiscovery

These 3d sculptures combine elements from multiple languages, recombined to evoke new languages, meanings and expressions whilst simultaneously bringing different cultures together. This one brings together letters from the Brahmi, Osage, Braille and Devanagari alphabets.
