Change of air mass - it's rather cool in Michigan. Current temperatures: Battle Creek 61° (light rain will end soon there), Grand Rapids 64°, Ludington 66° (warmer there because the sun's been out there). Mackinac Island is 55° and Copper Harbor (at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula) is currently just 47° degrees with a north wind at 20 mph and a peak gust of 35 mph. How about that for a day in mid-June!
It's only 61 degrees at the South Haven Lighthouse.
Water temperatures: Ludington 62°, Duck Lake 70°, Muskegon 66°, Grand Haven 67°, Holland 67°. Waves at Lake Michigan are around 3 feet. There's a Beach Hazards Statement for West Michigan beaches south of Muskegon until 8 pm. Inland Reeds Lake has a water temperature of 74°.
The images are a satellite pic. (some sun at the lakeshore especially in Oceana Co.), radar (rain has ended northwest of a line from Kalamazoo to Lansing). The rain will continue to move off to the east. There's the South Haven Pier and and Holland Beach.
Happy Flag Day.
