Turning onto the runway yesterday, I got nostalgic for an old favourite ATC instruction of mine: "taxi into position and hold". Sure the new replacement, "line up and wait" is globally aligned and does the job but that older phrase still gives me shivers of excitement. #avgeek

Watching the #GeneralElection2024 results in the UK one thing has become sadly uncommon to this American: candidates accepting their party's wins and losses graciously and without shouting or accusations of cheating. I wish I thought that will be the case in November, too.

I really miss the live, raw, real demos and human reactions to what they see. The pre-recorded apple keynotes are like the audition tape you can record, rerecord and edit... until it's too perfect and therefore rather unrealistic.
