There's a law of increased effort/decreased benefit in anything we do. Everything has a line where the effort outpaces the benefit. You put in, say, 10% more effort and get back maybe 1% in benefit. Next time it's 30%/0.5%. It's better but not by enough to make it worth it.
There is an epidemic of trying to make every exercise “optimal.” I just saw someone spend more than 5 minutes looking for a cuff to do lateral raises. There are only a couple at my gym. One guy was already using one for tricep extensions, and the shoulder guy asked him for it. My guess is the tricep guy was nowhere near done. Then I watched the shoulder guy walk around the gym twice searching for another one (it is a big gym).
Before anyone says it, yes maybe his finger flexors, wrist, or whatever could be injured. Save yourself the hypothetical scenarios.
But at some point just grab a normal handle and keep training. People spend more time trying to create the perfect exercise setup than actually applying effort.
