Very cool!!! I loved baseball cards as a kid. Superb Solheim Cup idea.
The players this week are featured on trading cards, and one fan didn’t miss her chance to get Kary Hollenbaugh’s autograph as she walked to the putting green. Pretty cool!

You can get a high quality driver for $100-200 off ebay. My driver/fwys are 5 years old my irons and wedges are 4 years old and my putter is 30. And I get carte Blanche from manufacturers. Familiarity and fit trump latest and greatest. "Normal" people don't need $1000 drivers

Mowing at night not a problem. The amazing dry cut every superintendent wishes for. No clipping removal. The machine is amazing. Super efficient. Happy Memorial Day Weekend. 🇺🇸 @TurfTroniq @TransitValleyCC

They set this Golf Course up so perfectly. I would be very content if Aronimink hosted it every year. Put this course on the U.S. Open rotation while you’re at it.

6,811 yards is the official distance of the first women’s major this week Some people think it’s too long. I couldn’t disagree more. Women’s golf is where the WNBA was five years ago before Caitlin Clark. It had little fanfare, small tv audiences, and minimal media coverage. What if women’s basketball had done what many suggest women’s golf should do — make the game easier? Would Clark be a megastar if she was burying logo 3s on an 8-foot goal? No chance. Shortening courses won’t grow women’s golf. Athleticism and personalities will. So will playing better golf courses. No offense to the older guys, but when I grew up watching the PGA TOUR, many of them had pot bellies. Tiger Woods changed it. He made the tour more athletic AND dynamic. Making golf courses for the women longer, firmer, and faster will force the women’s game to become more athletic… and every sports fan knows that’s when people really start paying attention. LPGA rookie Melanie Green is currently T-4 in L.A. The 24-year-old is making her fourth start this season. Profiled Green last year when she was tearing up the @EpsonTour! *** Melanie Green has always loved a good underdog story, though she realizes she might no longer qualify as one. Last summer the small-town New Yorker became the first American in 28 years to win the Women’s British Amateur and now, midway through her first year as a pro, she’s the hottest player on the Epson Tour. “The way she carried herself on the golf course, it was palpably different than her fellow competitors,” said former University of South Florida coach Erika Brennan on recruiting Green. “There was an edge to her; there was a want. You could see the fire.” Nick Semuta caddied for Green in her first tournament now a decade ago. Too shy to play team sports, the athletic Green turned down her dad’s numerous invitations to play in any golf tournaments until age 13, when she routed the field at Locust Hill Country Club. “She just kind of marched around the golf course,” said Semuta, “really confidently and in command.” Green wasn’t heavily recruited out of high school, entertaining other offers from Delaware and Virginia Tech. South Florida offered a chance for her to “catch up” to peers who had grown up in warm-weather climates. Full story here ⬇️ golfweek.usatoday.com/story/…
