Trogonoptera trojana, Palawan birdwing or triangle birdwing, is a #birdwing#butterfly of the family Papilionidae. It is endemic to Palawan in the #Philippines. It is one of only two species in its genus, the other being the more widespread Rajah Brooke's birdwing. #entomology
After moving the wētā to some temporary housing. I got to work replacing the hinges, and cleaning the Perspex acrylic barriers that seperate people and wētā.

Well, we sequenced the first genomes of this entire phylum of animals, and learned that they are even weirder than we thought!
