Just been re-reading the opening chapters of Laurajane Smith's 'Emotional Heritage'. Fantastic stuff: a rich set of clearly & carefully articulated ideas.

I've been exploring the idea that framing museums as hybrid organisations might be helpful. This book was really useful. It has a nice interplay of theory & empirical data.
