Aesthetics aside, I do think it’s great that what these people built are all well known and well used. Go outside for two seconds and you’ll see Teslas and Amazon trucks driving by all the time.
not a single person on this list was born a billionaire the world that i want to build, live and vote for is a where this will continue to be true every generation, except the numbers keep getting larger

This isn’t the case in every country. Even Canada, the richest person there is a crypto guy (CZ), and the next ~ten or so are all just involved in finance. They didn’t really build anything.

Probably the only other place this is true is China. But that’s an odd one because they’re not even “supposed” to have billionaires, and yet the city with the highest concentration of billionaires in the world isn’t SF, it’s Beijing.

It's over-rehearsed, and the producers need to follow along with the teleprompter line-by-line, making it impossible to go off script. Jokes also sound incredibly lame when rehearsing it the 100th time, so they're often cut. Live presentations are so much better imo

People are oddly orthodox when it comes to sports. When I talk about adding an interesting new mechanic to basketball or something (e.g. the ability to "lock balls" like in pinball), nobody ever takes me seriously. Explains the massive amount of stagnation.

I've had more "I can't believe it's this good" moments with GPT5.5 than any other model since Opus 4.5. It's shockingly, scarily capable. Days and days of amazing progress. All steering, no handwriting. Yet utterly delightful to conduct its coding. So, so good.

For complicated agent work, it's amazing how much GPT5.5 has improved. I found 5.2 to be very far behind Opus. Now using Opus 4.7 after 5.5 feels like a big step backwards. Gotta love this level of competion! Strong comeback for OpenAI.

Without Turner Network Television, we never would have had Pirates of Silicon Valley. It’s my favorite Jobs movie by far, and in my opinion, it told the story better than any of the newer Jobs films that followed.
