🇺🇸 is a world class market for soccer & its people go bonkers for authentic club soccer every year.
USA soccer is drastically held back by the U.S. Soccer Federation/MLS closed system.

The USA has DOZENS of different ethnic and minority groups that have tens/hundreds of thousands and millions of passionate soccer fans.
Don't buy the myth that soccer is a small sport in America. USA has 30-50 million soccer fans.

It is tricky for USL because promotion/relegation needs to happen throughout the entire USA soccer pyramid - not just one league or group of leagues.
The USL effort is a good start but it is not the full version of #ProRelforUSA yet.

I highly doubt hundreds of USA teams will pop up and be successful under a pro/rel system. I think the USL are making mistake with their plan to implement pro/rel in 2028.

Speaking to multiple sources familiar on the condition of anonymity, The Athletic understands Underdog Global Partners (UGP) has led negotiations on behalf of a group of investors as part of an ambitious plan to build on Aurelio De Laurentiis’ legacy.
The Athletic understands Napoli is not for sale but this position has not discouraged UGP and its backers from persisting in negotiations, started six months ago, to takeover the club.
