I'm officially half an Attenborough as it's my fiftieth today! Having a quick pint before heading off to do some singing. Not quite the Albert Hall but will certainly do!

An inspirational day for the AGM and Fellow presentations as part of my new trustee role of the @NNUKRF. Excellent work presented in a compelling way by all the Fellows, with the prospect of improved outcomes and better understanding of various diabetes-related issues. @drpratikc

Development of cannula technology to include Nitric Oxide releasing polymers. Showing usage stability of 14 days with physiological levels of NO2 release. May pave the way for more tolerable and durable infusion apparatus, as well as lowering inflammatory response. #ATTD2025

Freestyle Libre 3 with integrated ketone monitoring in the pipeline. A new insight into ketones needed due to low awareness of DKA amongst PWT1D and resistance or lack of knowledge of when ketone testing desirable. Hoping this is just the start of multi-analyte sensing. #ATTD2025

For those at #ATTD2025 - either as a #dedoc voice or otherwise - would be good to get information on @TandemDiabetes for roll out of devices, new sets and updates to CIQ UK/EU. Tandem said last year that Mobi would be 2nd half 2025, but would need an app released. Any updates?

Abbott ATTD symposium starts with explanation that there is no proper standard for CGMs and MARD is a flawed assessor (as highlighted by @Tims_Pants and others). Moving to a new iCGM method in the US and an equivalent EU standard is required and a consensus is sought. #ATTD2025

Next presentation about Libre use in t2d. For T2d not on insulin there's a marked improvement in glycaemic control even after short term use. Improvements during Libre use sustained after Libre is no longer used. Common sense, but is there the appetite to fund this? #ATTD2025
