ALT 2025 SPEP Panel Submission Black Feminist Philosophy: “Putting Yourself on the Line is Like Killing a Piece of Yourself…” The title of this panel, taken from the words of Audre Lorde, articulates a challenge of survival under overlapping forms of oppression that extends beyond hustling for material subsistence, developing networks of care, and evading predatory institutions: survival requires working toward societal transformation, “seeking a now that can breed futures” for oneself and one’s loved ones.
