Last night, I was in severe pain, couldn’t think clearly, struggling to find a comfortable position, and ended up almost lying on the floor in the hotel lobby, waiting for an ambulance.
A man approached me out of nowhere and asked if I was okay. The hotel guard informed him I was waiting for an ambulance.
The man then said, ‘Sir, I need you to follow my instructions and breathe with me,’ and he guided me through breathing exercises until the ambulance arrived. He then helped the paramedics lift me up and get me to the ambulance.
Sir, I don’t know who you are, but last night you were just what I needed in that moment. I hope to return the favor one day.
Grateful to all the unknown heroes in our lives who we never get a chance to thank.
