What is interesting to me about the pushback is how patently dishonest it is. Canada Day is in July, which is now suggested to mean only Canada has ever been celebrated in the month. No one I know equates July with Canadian heritage/pride after the 1st.
Liberal MP Yvan Baker promoted his bill designating July as "Somali Heritage Month," saying Somali contributions "make Canada great," regardless of population size. He declined to comment on public pushback.

"As often" lmao

Cooper: I represent one of the largest conservative African American groups and we believe that the kinds of policies that we're seeing under this administration is specifically helping Black Americans. I was so convinced of it, I actually wrote a book about. Phillip: The Black unemployment rate skyrocketed basically as soon as Donald Trump got into office.

I don't care about what she's saying because she was never remotely close to good at wrestling, but I have to respect her for obtaining the cross from Andre the Giant's first communion.
Candice Michelle says women’s wrestling is missing femininity “I want the men to be a little bit more masculine. I want them to be so masculine that I get to drop into my femininity a little bit.” “Like we don’t have to do it the way a man does.” (Inside The Ring)

This guy held an umbrella for MJ like 3 times in the 80s and now he's his biographer
Michael Jackson’s ex-bodyguard Matt Fiddes says Michael got death threats over the music catalog he owned and claims one artist in particular would call him and verbally abuse him to the point that he would cry.

Crazy thing to block a person over lol

I wish we elected Chloe Brown in Toronto. This could be us 😪
I know he is the face of the administration. He should be applauded, but we should also acknowledge he has an amazing team of really smart people. No one does what he does alone. People were ready for him to fail but he has proven that a lot of these politicians could do this but they refuse.

"It's a shame he murdered his wife & child and then himself, but we did some great work together!"
Kurt Angle on his matches with Chris Benoit: "I did what I was told to do, [which] was to pretend Benoit didn’t exist. But what that did for me is it took away all my best matches. It was rubbing on my legacy. So by saying that Chris Benoit no longer exists is saying I never had those matches, and it’s like whoa, I have my best matches with that kid, and he was an incredible wrestler. I don’t condone what he did. What he did was 100% wrong and it’s unforgivable, but how he was in the ring, he was the best in-ring worker I’ve ever been in a ring with. He reminded me of me. I felt like I was wrestling my twin.” (Insight with with Chris Van Vliet)

Love Mike but he really did greatly contribute to this album's struggle. Not promoting it, bashing the label, appearing in only 1 video and refusing to tour were all things within his control.
Michael Jackson’s Invincible (2001) was his first studio album in six years and his last during his lifetime. While it debuted at No. 1 in many countries and sold millions (estimates around 5–6 million worldwide initially, with more since), it was widely seen as a commercial and critical disappointment compared to his earlier mega-sellers like Thriller, Bad, or Dangerous. Several interconnected factors explain this: 1. Label Feud and Poor Promotion (Biggest Factor) Jackson had a bitter falling-out with Sony Music and executive Tommy Mottola. He accused the label of intentionally underpromoting the album to sabotage his career, partly to pressure him over his valuable music catalog or recoup advances. Promotion was truncated after the initial push: • Only limited singles and just two music videos (one without Jackson appearing in it). • No major tour. • Jackson refused extensive personal promotion beyond a few interviews. Sony spent heavily on production and initial marketing (reportedly tens of millions), but support dried up amid the dispute. Jackson publicly protested in 2002, calling Mottola “evil” and claiming the label buried the project. This internal conflict turned a potential comeback into a high-profile mess.

In fact, "career-ending" is probably a best-case scenario. With this kind of disparity in skill & athleticism, it could have been much worse.
I think when a top ten heavyweight in the world - and a heavyweight whose main talent is ungodly power rather than technique - unloads on a relatively untrained celebrity, "career ending" is actually the expected outcome and not crazy at all.

The lack of media literacy in these comments is hilarious. Oprah did a transition here. She was not ignoring the previous statement, she was asking a new question in a series of questions about his changing appearance (which was greatly speculated on at the time).
MJ: “I love Michelangelo. If I had a chance to talk to him, i would want to know about what inspired him to become who he ist, the anatomy of his craftsmanship, not about who he went out with last night.” Oprah: “How much plastic surgery have you had?” 🤡🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Kinda hypocritical given Dana endorsed the most emotional, thin-skinned person that ever ran for President, a guy who throws tantrums every time he's asked a question he doesn't like.
Dana White explains why he hates men's mental health culture "I hate this whole men's mental health stuff that they talk about. Unfortunately, when you're a man, you are the provider, you can't be that guy posting on social media, oh I had a bad day and I'm so sad" "It's unattractive to other males, let alone women"

I think it says a lot that people went to this man's funeral and said "He sure was famous!"
"Arguably, the most recognizable man on the planet. He lifted our business to heights that we could have never imagined." - Triple H on Hulk Hogan at Hogan's funeral

People have created an alternate reality where the product was coherent and satisfying under Vince 🫠. It was hot garbage for a decade straight; plot holes, fan revolts, spite burials and a tsunami of declining fan interest so absolute a whole new company got launched off of it.
Vince McMahon selling WWE to TKO was the biggest mistake ever. It ruined the business and fans are paying the price for it. – random storylines – celebrity involvement in generational feuds – high ticket prices Triple H is just being a puppet of TKO right now. He can’t do anything without their permission. I bet Triple H would never have released Wyatt Sicks and some other talents. It might’ve been TKO’s decision and he had to follow it. I hope someone with a genuine brain and passion for this game buys WWE. Tony Khan would do wonders if he bought WWE icl Save WWE from TKO.

I'm starting to think the international visitors had been keeping a certain breed of complete loser neckbeard virgin fan at bay. The extra availability of tickets that normally wouldn't have been there allowed this cohort of inferior riffraff to be a part of WM.
AJ Styles says he was swarmed by fans at the hotel on WrestleMania weekend: “I’m not taking pictures because once I start, I’ll never stop. So if I have my family with me, I can’t do that. I said, ‘Hey, I’m not taking pictures right now. I’m sorry.’ And they just swarmed me like bees. Even this one guy, even though I told him no pictures, he was walking and laying on me and stuff like that. I’m like, ‘Whoa! Whoa!’ And finally, security was able to find me and take me to the elevator. I understand that they think they know the superstars because they’ve watched them for so long, but at the same time, you’ve got to remember that they’re real people. It can get overwhelming when that many people swarm you like that. I get it. No means no with pictures and whatnot. If they ask you not to, chill out.“ (@the_prpodcast)

I don't mean this from a "woke" perspective but it'd be nice to spend 5 minutes on this app without seeing the word "retarded". It's just kind of embarrassing when I read something compelling and then stumble across "lolz retard". It's like being in middle school again.

Unbanning these kinds of words has not taken off the PC shackles of modern discourse, but actually made everything a little dumber, lazier, and low brow.

It does not mark you as some kind of brave rabble rouser who won't kowtow to the free speech police. It makes you sound juvenile and inarticulate. The fact it's kinda shitty to disabled people is a different issue entirely (but also makes even more of an L).

Ric is so incredibly insecure for a man who had accomplished what he has in wrestling. The thinnest skin. And I dunno that I'd brag that I talk to Epstein's homeboy.
Ric Flair responds to Stevie Richards and Dutch Mantell: "Who are they? I just talked to Donald Trump on the phone myself. Do I give a sh*t about those guys? They don't even have Donald's number." "I can call Charles Barkley. I can call Shaq. I can call Mark Wahlberg. I can call anybody because I've earned their respect. Darius Rucker, Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg, I have all their numbers right here in speed dial. These guys don't know anything and don't know sh*t. The only way they make a dime, and I'm sure it's a minimal amount of money, is by cracking on people that are successful. And the older you get, and the more successful you stay, the more relevant you stay, the more jealous they get." Read more: wrestlingnews.co/wwe-news/ri…
