classic "serialized" tv (like THE WIRE, DEADWOOD, etc) paid ruthless attention to structure ββ A-plot resolved by the credits, B-plot for supporting, and further the overall story. now we get the "eight hour movie' with arbitrary cut-off points, so everything moves like molasses
Why is it that shows with 24 episode seasons from years ago seem to have a faster pace than most streaming series with 8-episode seasons.
