Today, @SpaceX (Nasdaq: SPCX) makes its public market debut with a $75Bn offering (pre-greenshoe) at $135 per share, marking the largest IPO in history. Congratulations to the SpaceX team. We are honored to serve as joint lead bookrunner and sole stabilization agent.

$SPCX lists tomorrow. Everyone’s asking the same thing. I’ve gotten 20 texts from friends/family: “If I can’t buy SpaceX directly, what can I do?” Mapped it below: - Direct owners - Comps - Suppliers - Infrastructure - Orbit economy Save/share. idc NFA

Anthropic is walking back Claude Fable 5’s hidden safeguards after backlash, per WIRED. Flagged frontier LLM development requests will now visibly fall back to Opus 4.8, and API users will get a refusal reason. Anthropic said it “made the wrong tradeoff” and apologized.

Elon Musk’s ecosystem by the numbers: SpaceX: ~$1.8T valuation Tesla: ~$1.6T valuation Starlink: ~$500B xAI: ~$250B X: ~$33B Neuralink: ~$10B Boring Company: ~$6B Musk’s ownership: ~82.4% of SpaceX and ~20.3% of Tesla.
Elon Musk’s empire is becoming increasingly interconnected. From a $1.8T-valued SpaceX to a $1.6T Tesla, capital, technology, and ownership now flow across a network spanning space, AI, mobility, infrastructure, and energy. ◾ $SPCX: $1.8T ◾ $TSLA: $1.6T ◾ Starlink: $500B ◾ xAI: $250B ◾ X: $33B ◾ Neuralink: $10B ◾ The Boring Company: $6B Together, they form one of the most influential corporate ecosystems ever assembled.

$ORCL now has ~$638B of contracted backlog against a ~$540B market cap. That backlog is larger than $GOOGL, $AMZN and even $MSFT.
$ORCL RPO growth is absolutely wild with backlog adding $85B sequentially while OCI accelerated to 93% growth in Q4. Oracle is taking on one of the most aggressive AI infrastructure builds in the market and while its Q1 guide implies RPO conversion is stepping up, bookings are still outrunning conversion roughly 4-to-1. That is why the $40B financing plan is smaller than it looks since customers are already covering $75B of the buildout themselves.

Anthropic launched Claude Fable 5, its first broadly available Mythos-class model and most capable Claude for general use. Claude Mythos 5 uses the same underlying model but with safeguards lifted for trusted-access users. Mythos-class traffic will now have 30-day retention for safety monitoring.

Releasing a model this capable comes with risks. Without safeguards, Fable 5’s capabilities in areas like cybersecurity could be misused to cause serious damage. Queries on a narrow range of topics will instead receive a response from our next-most-capable model, Opus 4.8.

Okay this is genuinely insane. SpaceX just unveiled a satellite whose only job is to run AI. Not internet. Not GPS. Just compute, floating in orbit. It's called AI1, and the reason behind it breaks your brain. AI data centers on Earth are hitting a wall, not a chip wall, a physics wall. They need staggering amounts of power and water just to stay cool, and we're running out of grid and land to build them. So Musk's answer is: stop building them on Earth. In orbit, the sun never sets. Free power, 24/7. No water for cooling, you just radiate heat into the vacuum of space. The two things choking AI on the ground barely exist up there. And here's the wild part: Musk says it's easier to build than a Starlink satellite. Strip out the complex antennas and it's "a lot of solar cells, a radiator, and some laser links." One AI1 carries the compute of an Nvidia GB300 rack, the same hardware data centers fight over down here. AI1 is just the first one. The plan is a constellation of up to a million of them. And the timing isn't an accident, SpaceX goes public this week at a ~$1.75 trillion target. This isn't a rocket company anymore. It's positioning itself as the power grid for AI, in space. The race for AI compute just left the planet. Literally. @SpaceX

OpenAI is reportedly in talks to lease a proposed 10GW AI data center campus in Ohio that could cost more than HALF OF A TRILLION DOLLARS to build, with the first phase targeted for 2028. $NVDA would supply hardware and provide financial guarantees, while OpenAI would operate the facility under a 20-year lease agreement.
