I have ✨news✨
In THE PALACE OF EROS, I have written into genderqueerness, and the longing to live free and whole outside the box of patriarchy, like never before. I've taken risks. I'm stunned and amazed and thrilled this book has found U.S. and UK homes. 😮😭🥳
Good people: I’m outta here. This account will be up, but if you’d like to stay connected, find me on BlueSky at @caroderobertis.bsky.social or on Instagram at @caro_derobertis. Meanwhile, here's a cover reveal for SO MANY STARS, which drops 5/13/2025. WE WILL CONTINUE💙🏳️⚧️🌟
Thank you @AlgonquinBooks and @trellislit for believing in this book & championing its voices. Thank you to everyone I've connected with here. Keep the faith. Keep going. The fascists are rising but so are we. I love you. hachettebookgroup.com/titles…
To fight for and love a country that despises you… that finds joy and elation in your suffering is truly a different kind of pain. It is mourning in America. A new world order begins. 🙏🏾
Do not obey in advance. Lesson 1, first page, of my pamphlet "On Tyranny"
ALT 1. Do not obey in advance. Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do.
New York—I’m headed your way & will be in conversation with two of the most luminous writers around, @acruzwriter at @Center4Fiction tomorrow & Jaquira Díaz at @WordUpBooks, Thursday 🌟 would love to see you
Oh @BoroughPress you absolute wonders! Thank you for sending me a copy of #thepalaceoferos by @caroderobertis
I have been wanting a mythology fix and so this is just what I need!
This beauty is out now!
I was thrilled to talk with the one & only @jenstjude about transforming ancient myths, the contributions trans & queer folks make to masculinity, writing the erotic, what it means to be "unruly and immense," and so much more.
HAPPY BUTCH APPRECIATION DAY ✨🙌🏼 butches are amazing, always.
In celebration, here’s an excerpt of my @ElectricLit shout out to butches, and a glimpse of me with Parnaz Foroutan at @skylightbooks on Friday night just bursting with butch joy
The brilliant @juliandlopera & I chopped it up about trans histories, phallic energy, queer sex as a power source, & more.
"Caro’s prose is magnificent, it incorporates language for a gender expansive body into a myth that is 2000 years old and makes it look easy." 😯🙏🏼🏳️⚧️
Happy pub day to THE PALACE OF EROS—so very grateful this very queer, steamy, patriarchy-defying novel is in the world.
I wrote it as a love letter to the parts of ourselves that long for joy and freedom.
And events I'll be doing with some of the most brilliant, big-hearted writers out there, starting tonight with the peerless @ingrid_rojas_c . We will celebrate our communities, our inheritance, the power of naming our desires, and what our bodies know. Come party with us 🥳
Enormous, deep thanks to @SFC_Datebook for this thoughtful, kind, insightful profile, to Lauren Harvey for writing it, and to the great Cristina García for contributing words. I'm moved beyond words.

Pardon if this point has been made, but it was incredibly powerful to see an older white man stand behind and at the side of a Black man and help elevate him. Biden did that for Barack Hussein Obama.
Tim Walz is doing the same thing for a Black Indian woman.
The significance of this is not lost on people of color in this country and around the world.
❤️🔥Don't miss @caroderobertis in conversation with @writercruz about their latest novel, The Palace of Eros —a bold and subversive retelling of the Greek myth of Psyche and Eros that explores the power of queer joy and freedom. Register ASAP tinyurl.com/yc2c7nhh!
