Give your agent its own account to trade, manage your portfolio, and run autonomously under your guardrails. → @MurrLincoln gave a demo on the new, simpler sign-in for the Coinbase CLI and MCP using Claude. → Our developer wallets are now available via a Swift SDK, so you can build self-custodial wallets into native iOS apps. x402: → @travalacom introduced their Travel MCP: featuring gasless USDC transactions on @base via x402. → @Must_be_Ash gave a demo on booking travel with Claude connected to Base and Travala’s MCP. → @yugacohler and @programmer talked about agents and x402 at @ethconf. → @brian_armstrong shared: 160M agentic payments processed via x402 and ~$1T in annual stablecoin movement at Coinbase. Payments: → Our Head of Infrastructure Products, @alecglovett, broke down everything Coinbase has built for stablecoin payments. → Cross-border stablecoin payouts are live for @masspay_io, powered by Coinbase. Real-time web search, agent-payable in USDC on @base, no API key or account needed. → Claude agent built by @Must_be_Ash reads the day's news for $0.10, built with x402 and @tavilyai. Partnerships: → @PPRO_Payments integrates Coinbase Payments, bringing stablecoin acceptance to enterprise merchants. Update: I’ve left Coinbase. I’m starting a company. I’ll continue to be involved with x402 as a member of the Technical Steering Committee with the foundation, and as an advisor to Coinbase on agentic commerce. I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve done in @CoinbaseDev. It's truly an elite team executing at the highest of levels. Many exciting things coming soon 👀. @yugacohler will be taking the helm as Head of Engineering, he’s a rockstar, he’ll crush it. It's been an exceptional second tour of duty at Coinbase. It was a hard decision to leave, but there's an idea in my head I need to get into the world. Big scalability improvement for agentic payments: x402 "Upto". Pre-authorize up to an amount, use as much as you want, the final amount gets settled onchain.

A new way to bill AI agents just dropped: the x402 upto scheme 🤖💸 x402 is the HTTP 402 standard for machine-to-machine payments. Until now, it only supported fixed pay-per-request pricing. Here is why the new `upto` scheme changes everything 🧵👇

Today, the Linux Foundation announced it is launching the x402 Foundation with the contribution of the x402 protocol from Coinbase.
