ALT Same Struggle Same Fight - When the overwhelming majority of voters in the 2023 CATU Ard Fheis approved the motion for CATU to support the principles of the global, Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, it was areflection of CATU’s principles of international solidarity, anti-racist policies, and recognition of the connected struggles.
ALT In the 2021 Ard Fheis, CATU passed an anti-racism motion which highlighted discrimination in housing provision against migrants, non-white, and non-settled Irish people. In the 2022 Ard Fheis, CATU passed a motion recognising the extraordinary circumstances asylum seekers experience in Ireland, and waived membership fees for asylum seekers and people in Direct Provision. CATU works to counter racist systems of oppression, and stands in solidarity with other organisations with the same mission.

And our member in Clondalkin! We rallied today to stop the eviction of a tenant working studying in Dublin. IPAS are trying to force her to move across the country, making her unemployed and 4 hours away from her education.

We are demanding the landlord teminate Máire's tenancy immediately. The landlord has until 4th May to respond.

Racial abuse to healthcare workers by landlords has definitely escalated in current housing crisis. Due to nature of their job, IMGs relocate every 6-12 months hospital to hospital & it's quite common that their deposits1/2
