Let's start with Cooper Newby
@CooperNewby44, who was selected as the 2nd Team All-District catcher. A switch-hitting sophomore, Cooper caught a whopping 233 innings, throwing out 11 runners and committing only 1 error, while managing a pitching rotation full of top arms.
At the plate, in districts and playoffs, Cooper batted nearly .300 and was 5th on the team in base hits, highlighted by a 3-for-3 night in a big win vs. Byron Nelson early in district play.
Cooper is ranked as the 61st best prospect in the state of Texas by
@Texas_PG and 63rd in the state of Texas by
@PrepBaseball_TX .
As he returns for his junior season in 2026, we will be looking for big things both offensively and behind the dish. Congratulations, Cooper!
