EA is hosting an online information session at 5.30pm today (Sunday 26 January), to provide an update on the ongoing emergency response to Storm Éowyn for Principals who wish to join. For those Principals who cannot join, this session will be recorded and shared along with written information.

We were delighted to welcome Mr Richard Pengelly, Chief Executive of the Education Authority, to school today to meet with staff and pupils to discuss the education system in NI.
Director of Prisons, David Kennedy recently presented @DofE awards to women in Hydebank.

The EA Statutory Assessment & Review Service (SARS) team have announced drop-in sessions in Belfast for parents and carers of children who are undergoing the statutory assessment process or who are at a transitional stage of their educational journey.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our previous Board Chair, Ms Carmel McKinney OBE. Carmel dedicated many years of service to NIFRS, bringing extensive expertise and experience as a leader to the role. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Carmel’s family and friends.

The worst of times often brings out the best of us. Austin certainly was the best of us, and just knowing he was on our team always meant we felt better about our chances, and the work we were doing. Sad times - but a wonderful legacy.
