We're sad to learn this morning of the death of the 'ancient Robin Hood tree.' 'The Major Oak is estimated to have lived in Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire for up to 1,200 years, and is considered one of Britain's biggest oak trees.' bbc.com/news/articles/clyer9…

He’s dating Kim Kardashian, who has an estimated net worth of nearly $2 billion. He's worth nearly $500 million and lives in Monaco to avoid paying taxes in the UK. Remarkable lack of self-awareness.

Lewis Hamilton says there should be a limit to how much wealth one person can have "One of the things that I struggle with every day is that there is such a disparity between the wealthy and the poor” "When you drive around LA there's still so many people living on the streets. You shouldn't be able to have billions" "I think there should be a limit to how much you can have because there's enough to go around for everyone”

We have lost our moral compass. We can no longer tell right from wrong. Where this leaves our children, God only knows. 😳
I thought there was no way this was real… it had to be parody… so I looked it up myself. It’s real. @HelloFresh are advertising their product as being good for clearing out your rectum in preparation for anal s*x during Pride Month. I’m so done with this timeline.

The same Lewis Hamilton who used a corporate leasing structure to save money on taxes (around £3.3 million in VAT) when acquiring his Bombardier Challenger 605 private jet in 2013? The same Lewis Hamilton who bought the £16.5 million jet through his British Virgin Islands company (Stealth Aviation Ltd) and who then set up an Isle of Man leasing company (Stealth (IOM) Ltd, to import it into the EU and sub-leased it to a UK jet management firm (TAG Aviation), which in turn provided it back to Hamilton and his Guernsey company under charter agreements? *That* Lewis Hamilton?

Since Andy Burnham wants to be the next Labour leader, here’s a reminder: Andy accused victims of Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs of trying to “propagandise” the issue. He tried to block the grooming gangs inquiry in Manchester and nationally. He claimed that Pakistani-Muslims grooming gangs are a “thing of the past” despite clear evidence that little girls are still being victimised to this day, including in his local area. And what does he call the LITTLE GIRLS who were raped under his watch? Not children. Not little girls. “Young women.” Even on the most basic level, Burnham tried to shift the blame onto victims and refused to acknowledge that they were children. Countless little girls were raped, exploited and even murdered by Pakistani-Muslim grooming gangs, while powerful men like him turned a blind eye. Andy Burnham belongs in prison, not Parliament. And certainly not in 10 Downing Street.

On the topic of ‘just get on with it’ this is one of our smaller nature reserves. From finding the land for sale, buying it, planting 100,000 trees and digging 6 ponds it took less than 18 months to create a new haven for nature. @paulpowlesland

Utterly disgusted to see Croudace Homes wilfully clearing mature trees and hedgerows in Shenfield during the height of the breeding season. Century old oaks hosting nesting birds and other wildlife have been felled. We need to place more value on our natural environment.

This slow worm didn’t stand a chance. The density of free-roaming domestic cats is out of hand, and nature has no defence. They kill millions of our birds, bats, reptiles, moths & butterflies yearly. Let's give wildlife a fighting chance. 🌍👇 #ProtectOurWildlife

The hidden cost of the spring silage cut: 🚜💔 Intensive late-spring cutting destroys thousands of nesting birds like Skylarks. Instead of turning a blind eye, simple changes like thermal imaging and wildlife-safe cutting patterns can save generations. 🐦

Let me categorically Debunk this utter rot. @sainsburys. I am a poultry Breeder. The hens that lay white eggs (Amberline/White Star) DO NOT have a lower carbon footprint. Yes they eat a bit less and produce roughly the same amount of eggs as the Brown egg layers (Bovan/Lowman/ISA Brown) but they live shorter lives, are prone to dying suddenly when startled, a flighty and nervous and because they live shorter productive lives (12 -18mnths) vs brown 18/24mnths (both commercial farmed), you have to incubate more which is increased (Electricity/gas costs) and their eggs are not the same quality. I breed and keep 20 different breeds, including: ISA Brown hens and White Stars. All my hens are 100% free range, Not a single barn kept bird, I have ISA browns that are 5yrs old and still laying beautiful Brown eggs, I have not seen a White star live beyond 3yrs and certainly none have laid eggs past 18-24mnths. White stars Lay themselves to death. They are slender birds and because they dont eat a lot, it drains their personal vitality to keep up laying the eggs you want to sell because of the nonsensical lie that they are "More Carbon Neutral" You want to know about eggs, come talk to someone like me, Don't rely on some hairbrained imagination of a buyer who's trying to squeeze the profit margin for a few extra pennies at our expense and to the poor hens detriment.

When you tell a woman she must pretend a man is a woman, you’re asserting the right to control her speech and perception of reality, while also trivialising and devaluing her female-specific experience. You’re asking her to agree that ‘woman’ is a concept men can embody at will.
Misgendering is cruel and rude, no matter how many edge cases or straw man arguments people can come up with to try to assert otherwise.

🚨 LIVE CHICKENS are being sold from packed crates in the back of vans on British streets. Meanwhile, Britain’s farmers operate under some of the strictest animal welfare regulations in the world, buried beneath inspections, licensing and endless compliance rules. Chickens are already the most abused animals in Britain. What many people now see emerging is a two-tier welfare system where standards appear rigidly enforced for some whilst quietly ignored for others.
