Here's the piece I was teasing yesterday: a massive oral history of the Lost finale. It was so great to (cough) go back and talk to everyone for this piece. vulture.com/article/lost-ser…

"This dramedy — yes, it's both a drama and a comedy, and I will not be taking further questions on this matter — always does its best work when it's actively on deadline." My take on S4 of THE BEAR. tvguide.com/news/the-bear-se…

THE BEAR returns tomorrow and I can't say anything about that yet, but I can resurface my extremely important analysis of Carmy's non-negotiables from last season. (Is it bad that I re-read this and was laughing at shit that I wrote? Oh well!) vulture.com/article/the-bear…

Man, @devonsaysrelax is so good at what she does. As someone who was taken to a Doobie Brothers concert at an extremely young age, appreciated this.

BREAKING: The New York Knicks are relieving Tom Thibodeau of his duties as head coach, sources tell ESPN. Thibodeau led the Knicks to their first East Finals in 25 years, made playoffs in 4 of 5 years and led Knicks to consecutive 50 win seasons for first time since the 1990s.

Do you ever think about how much time many of us spend trying to convince higher-ups that we're worthy and smart when those higher-ups often have no idea what they're doing and lack good judgment? I do. I think about it a lot.

It's irrelevant to the case, at least as far as I know, but I would love for someone to question Kanye and Myers about the Hurricane Katrina telethon under oath.

Being laid off sucks in a major way. But I am so touched and, honestly, surprised by all the friends and colleagues who have reached out to me. I've appreciated each and every DM, text and email. Thank you doesn't begin to cover it but nevertheless: thank you.

You work long enough in this biz, you eventually get caught up in layoffs. Yesterday I lost my job at Vulture, the best gig I’ve ever had. Still processing but I’ll want to write again so please keep me in mind for freelance work or regular work or just general nice messages.
