The inquest began today, with hours of horrific evidence put to the coroner. At the same time, NT Police released new statistics which showed officers attended 597 domestic and family violence-related call outs in the past seven days. An average of 85 a day. @abcnews @abcdarwin
Through six weeks of evidence, spread over six months, NT Coroner Elisabeth Armitage will examine the domestic violence killings of four Aboriginal women. One expert hopes at the end of it all, there'll be recommendations that "can't be ignored." @abcnews abc.net.au/news/2023-06-12/n…
