So excited to see this publication about DFB’s efforts!! I’m honored to have been a part of the course— especially piloting the summer program in 2021 and 2022!! Read all about it below!!
Jacqueline Graniel, Jessica Teitel, Benjamin Allen, et al. describe @DFB_UM, a trainee-led, #devbio programme that engages undergrads from underserved communities. With DFB flourishing at @UMich, they encourage others to create their own programmes. journals.biologists.com/dev/…

Had an amazing time being part of this effort! We were able to harness the power of publicly available scRNA-Seq and revisited (through new analysis) both fundamental and emerging concepts in keratin biology! An endless wealth of information that we're only starting to tap into.

I spent the last 6 months planning DFB 2022 with my teammates in @DFB_UM, and we held the course this past week. I was expecting it to be fun, but honestly I am still blown away by our fantastic students— and I’d like to tell you a little bit about them.
