AI is biting the hand that feeds it. Most obvious evidence: the drop in questions on StackOverflow after ChatGPT came out. How will AI get better if it replaces its own source of training data?
I have been entertaining this thesis for a while and finally wrote it down. Tl;dr: No need to simulate life for it to exist -- "it's the thought that counts". Please share your thoughts.

If that person had been a roboticist, they would have known what to do: stand in front of the car. It would have saved the cat's life.

I'm forced to judge a modern-day Turing test:
Level 1: Is the designer I hired on Upwork actually a human or an AI? Their work and communication looks very AI generated.
Level 2: Telling _which_ AI they used. Definitely sounds very agreeable, like chatGPT.
The number of robotics companies who take pride in reinventing the wheel re. infrastructure and tooling is ridiculous. If you want to succeed at "solving X using robotics", then focus on the application and use existing components for everything else.
Developers who think AI made their coding job easier are so wrong: it made it a lot harder! It raises the bar. Now you can only compete on quality, and you absolutely have to!
Funny to see joysticks like this advertised for playing farming simulators. Our users "play" the real-world with these kinds of controllers!

Vibe coding done wrong is like wearing blinkers or always driving with GPS. Sure, you might reach your goal faster, but good luck if you get lost. If you didn't look around while going, you didn't learn by doing.
