Growing up I realized the majority of my peers didn’t know or care about their own history. It wasn’t their fault, though. The way we were taught history often highlighted the negative aspects of our civilization and painted our heroes in a bad light. It wasn’t a fair treatment of our history, but a purposefully distorted one. That’s why I created this account — to highlight the great figures and events that shaped our civilization. Not with a purposeful bias, but because I truly believe Western civilization has been a shining light on a hill for much of history. It’s not perfect, but humanity has overall benefitted from it. My goal is to show how the West has shaped the world, and I hope by highlighting its greatness, we will continue its long tradition of pursuing the True, Good, and Beautiful.
