If you watch anything from today's Charlie Kirk memorial service, let it be these words from @MrsErikaKirk. This is the Gospel in real life. Just... wow.

Arc browser has officially won me over. Split panes, Spaces, persistent tabs—it makes navigating AI tools and managing multiple projects delightful. Feels like I’m just scratching the surface. Highly recommend giving it a spin. Nicely done, @browsercompany 👏

It’s times like these when you can really see just how many people think elections are just a show and that you’re only supposed to pretend to want to change Washington. That whole “defend democracy” was always just “defend the bureaucracy.”

BREAKING: The Babylon Bee has obtained this exclusive, official, 100% real Gavin Newsom election ad.
I just signed a bill to make this illegal in the state of California. You can no longer knowingly distribute an ad or other election communications that contain materially deceptive content -- including deepfakes.

I've worked in time-sensitive news media. Weekend newsrooms are scaled back & MSM corps didn't have many feet on the ground to verify live so slow & awkward reporting makes sense. The problem is, this kind of cautious journalism is inconsistent. 1/4
I’m not saying no dumb headlines exist, but a lot if not most of this is media correctly waiting for verification while also reporting what’s known, leading to awkward language. It was fair for them to wait.

Since time immemorial, when a CEO asks a PM at Product Review, “what do you need to 10X users/revenue?”, “what will make you go faster?”, etc The PM steadfastly responds “We need [N] more engineers”. The Eng Mgr nods approvingly A story thread, with some hard truths to swallow:

"The western world is in danger . . . because those who are supposed to defend the values of the west have been co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism, and therefore to poverty.” Try to hear the whole of @JMilei 's speech at the @wef yesterday, a magnificent defense of individual liberty and the free market economy. youtube.com/watch?v=Pfcd0gWN…

Here's my conversation with Mark Zuckerberg, his 3rd time on the podcast, but this time we talked in the Metaverse as photorealistic avatars. This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. It really felt like we were talking in-person, but we were miles apart 🤯 It's hard to put into words how awesome this was for someone like me who values the intimacy of in-person conversation. It gave me a glimpse of an exciting future with many new possibilities and fascinating questions about the nature of reality and human connection ❤ Timestamps: 0:00 - Introduction 0:52 - Metaverse 15:27 - Quest 3 30:16 - Nature of reality 34:54 - AI in the Metaverse 51:51 - Large language models 57:49 - Future of humanity

HOW BIG ARE THE PROFIT MARGINS IN FASHION? 🧵 Someone recently made a TikTok about the Brick Watch Company debacle, and one of the channel's viewers asked how this is any different from other luxury companies making things for pennies and selling them for thousands.

.@Zelle is awesome BUT not being able to raise the limits by adding security features like 2FA really limits the ability to use it to replace checks or credit cards for larger invoices from service providers.

It's time to #DefundNPR. They are falsely claiming that drivers who encountered violent mobs of BLM protesters deliberately ran people over, and that they're "right wing extremists." The opposite is true, and the protesters were charged for attacking the drivers.
