CII J&K Delegation Calls on Key Government Officials A delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K UT Council, led by Chairman, CII J&K, Mr Iqram Ali Shafiee, met senior officials in Srinagar to discuss industrial growth, infrastructure development, and market access. The delegation held meetings with Mr Anil Banka, Director Industries, Kashmir; Mr Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, MD, JK SIDCO (Jammu & Kashmir State Industrial Development Corporation); and Mr Sudershan Kumar, MD JK TPO (Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization). Discussions focused on implementation of the NCSS scheme, timely disbursement of incentives, and broader industry concerns. Infrastructure upgradation in industrial estates and waste management were also deliberated, with JK SIDCO inviting CII to submit PPP (Public-Private Partnership) proposals. With JKTPO, discussions centred on MSME support under the RAMP scheme and enhancing participation of J&K industry in national and international exhibitions. Both sides agreed to explore collaborative initiatives. CII Northern Region Committee on Logistics and Warehousing’s International Delegation had an interaction with H.E. Shri Pranay Verma, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union (EU) on 10th June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium. The delegation was led by Mr Ram Suresh Akella, Mission Leader and Executive Officer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, and Mr Mukesh Haritash, Co-Chairman, Regional Committee on Logistics and Warehousing and Joint Managing Director, Chetak Logistics Limited. The discussion underscored the growing momentum in India-EU economic engagement, the opportunities emerging through the proposed India-EU FTA, and the potential for greater collaboration in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain connectivity.
