We may be able to train more than 5 journalists from Latin America, Africa or South Asia in climate investigations!
Our first ever public fundraising campaign has been very successful: we managed to secure 100% of the funding needed to train 5 journalists. Thank you to everyone who donated!
Normally once the organisation reaches its target, everything above it is not doubled, BUT last Friday we received some great news from our partners
@BigGive.
All the donations above the target will still get matched funding! So every £1 you give till this Wed 29 April will become £2!
(Up to a whopping £20000 - now that would train A LOT of journalists).

Why now?
Our Climate Investigations Course was designed on the back of the very successful three years of CIJ's OCRI programme: where we trained hundreds of journalists all over the world in climate investigations. In 2025 we launched a scholarship for journalists from Latin America, Africa or South Asia to take the course.
Currently 10 scholars are taking the course, but the quality of applications was so high - we could have filled the spaces three times over! Hence the launch of CIJ Big Give Earth Raise campaign. More journalists need to be able to explain not just what is happening with our climate and how, but also why.
It is especially important today, when climate action is under threat.
Every £1 counts - only 48 hours left to donate!
Let's see if 5 scholars can become 6 or (dare we hope?) 20!
