1/- Cinderloo - in 1821 - 18months after Peterloo in Manchester England miners in Shropshire struck and were also attached by the yeomanry. Lots of local activists and amateur historians worked for the 200th anniversary but it was wrecked by lockdown.

Deeply saddened by news of Malcolm Peel’s passing. Malcolm was a hugely significant part of success of #HeritageSchools around T&W & West Mids. One of our esteemed Granville Boys, Malcolm visited 20 schools, speaking to 1000 pupils, exploring #Shropshire #coalmining #heritage.

We are saddened to hear that Malcolm Peel has died at home this week aged 79.
Malcolm provided much of the narrative to the Cinderloo story with his family history research, local geographic knowledge and understanding of mining and miners helping to piece together the story

1/3 We are saddened to learn of the sudden passing away of one of our key volunteers in Geoff Fordham at the age of 73.
Geoff, with his wife Rachael have been long standing supporters of the Orbit, who have worked with us in helping our bid writing for grants and other finances
