ER brain metastases are common but understudied. We show FGFR1 (via FGF2 and NCAM1 from neurons and astrocytes) drives brain colonization and young and aged models. Proud to be in @NatureComms Editor’s Highlights! nature.com/articles/s41467-0…
Last week, we were on the ground at
@SABCSSanAntonio, the world’s largest conference dedicated to breast cancer research. We spoke with Julia Maués (@itsnot_pink), co-founder of @GRASPtweets and @The_Right_Dose, MBC thriver, and BCRF ambassador, to hear her #SABCS24 highlights.
Congratulations to Drs. Alvarez, Fox, Puett, and Smalley, the poster award recipients selected this afternoon at the SNO/ASCO CNS Metastases Conference. #SNOASCO24
Ahead of the SNO (@NeuroOnc) CNS Metastases Meeting, Lianne Kraemer & I had the opportunity to visit Dr Diana Cittelly & her awesome team at @CUAnschutz.
Looking forward to her talk & posters in the coming days!

👩🔬👨🔬 Scientists alongside Dr. Elizabeth Wellberg (@LWellberg) explored the effects of FGF1 on estrogen receptor (ER)-positive endocrine-sensitive and resistant #BreastCancer and compared that to the effects of the canonical ER ligand, estradiol.
