Mike Johnson says Clay Higgins "...prayed about his tweet and then took it down."
I can't remember my exact age; maybe I was 9-10. My mother had called the minister of the church she attended to come by the house and talk to me.
He talked. I listened. When he was done, I asked, "So no matter what I do, or how many times I do it, I can always ask for forgiveness, and I'll be forgiven? And I can do that for the rest of my life?"
He smiled and said, "Yes. That's right." I said, "That makes no sense whatsoever. How can someone tell me something I'm doing is bad if they'll forgive me for doing it repeatedly?"
I stood up, walked down our short hallway, and closed the door. I might have been swatted on the ass for being rude. It didn't matter. That didn't sound like a belief system I wanted to be part of.
