I just tried @linear Diff. Genuinely speechless. The UI is so fucking good. Everything flows, it's beautiful, the AI makes sense, this is ridiculously perfect. I've been staring at it for 10 minutes, just appreciating how well it's designed

Linear Agent can now write code using Claude Code & Codex. Triage, plan, and ship without ever opening a local dev environment. We’re already using it to auto-fix 30% of our own bugs. Try it on Basic, Business & Enterprise plans with free credits this month.

Introducing coding sessions. Linear Agent can now triage issues, investigate the cause, write the fix, open a PR, and bring the code back for review. All shared with your team in Linear.

Back in May 2025, I made this simple diagram where @linear becomes our source for all disparate context. Agents then access it to coordinate work. With that anchor in mind, we've been able to orchestrate our harnesses and agentic systems in incredibly effective ways. Docs is yet another unlock to cut out a hop for agents.
The response to this has been crazy. So many teams want to move their team docs to @linear where they work. In the first 24h we added 200 companies to beta so we now decided to open this for everyone. Start creating team docs, no additional cost

The evolution of startup events The 2012 Meetup: Crowd into a cramped, fluorescent-lit startup office for lukewarm free Costco pizza The 2018 Mega-Conference: Pay $1,500 to walk 25,000 steps a day across a massive convention center to find somewhere... anywhere to sit. Lunch consists of questionable catering wraps. The mid 2020s Cafe Takeover: Drink an oat milk latte in a cafe turned networking lounge where you awkwardly glance at others while you attempt to find the card with the code for the free AI credits on it.

Normally I wouldn’t share something from a competitor, but this one seemed interesting. Since day one, @linear has been built for the most ambitious teams in Silicon Valley and beyond. That was always intentional, and we're very happy to serve those teams. Teams at OpenAI, Coinbase, Ramp, and frontier companies across fintech, healthcare, aerospace, and more use Linear to build and ship. Even teams building supersonic jets, like Boom Supersonic. We’re now seeing companies switch to Linear every week, and the pace is accelerating. We’ll keep doubling down helping Silicon Valley and other high performing teams on the planet build better software, faster even if our competition decides not to.

Everything above Linear on this list is 5X to 1,290X our size in headcount. If you believe small teams build better software, we're hiring. linear.app/careers
Fascinating results Anthropic running away with it right now So many people want to start their own company Google over OpenAI Vercel, Linear, Every, PostHog overperforming A great list if you're trying to figure out where to go work 👇

The review is in: the l(a)unch was good, but the Diffs are better. Think diff.

Code review, but faster. Introducing Diffs. A new way to review PRs, directly inside Linear. • Realtime updates • Guided reviews with Al (beta) • Focused notifications • Iterate with coding agents • Threaded comments

1) It is still incredibly difficult to find a company going from $1 to $10B in a year. I’ve joined two companies worth under $1B that are now worth over $10B and neither of them did it in a year. 2) It’s even more difficult to get meaningful liquidity from those valuations so that your gain isn’t just on paper.
There are so many early employees getting rich in tech It's hard to start a unicorn It's hard to invest in a company that becomes a unicorn It's not hard to pick a hot $1B company that might be worth $10B in a year

Christina Valente, director of product ops at Klaviyo, had used Jira for 20 years. Post their IPO, they needed a system for a new way of building, and switched to Linear. Now with Linear's Triage Intelligence, automations for bug routing enabled them to consistently hit their support SLAs. A customer issue that might’ve sat in a backlog for months now gets fixed and shipped in 3 business days. Agents only work if the underlying system is clean enough for them to understand what’s happening. More on their story here: linear.app/customers/klaviyo

my co is trialing @linear to replace jira and the first thing that hits me is that the team built a user experience not a database wearing a UI as a costume.

I firmly believe developers don’t want selfie sticks and a “Get Ready With Me” dev edition. Everyone is fighting for attention now, even the giants. But developers are a unique audience: they are discerning with a high bullshit detector. When you replace technical depth with selfie sticks, you very well might get the reach, but you lose the earnestness that developers actually value.
google i/o developer conference really is an interesting case study in how media works today the number of influencers live streaming selfie videos literally everywhere around me outnumber “mainstream media” like 20 to 1

Congrats to @RattrayAlex, @bkrausz, @mmcgrana, @_RussellDavis, @jenanwise and the whole @StainlessAPI team on the acquisition. They transformed the last mile of the developer experience and I can’t wait to see what they build next at @AnthropicAI!
Anthropic is acquiring @stainlessapi, an SDK and MCP server platform that has powered every Anthropic SDK since the earliest days of our API. Read more: anthropic.com/news/anthropic…
