A major takeaway at #rstatsdc (on top of all the awesome R stuff): more conferences need to have speaker walk-up music. Who do I know who's organizing an SPSP symposium and can make this happen?
Excited (and a bit nervous) to be attending my first #rstudioconf ! Also excited to finally get to see the new hex stickers for the #rstats osfr package
For those at the power workshop this morning, code for the 2x2 Means and SD simulations has been updated to clarify how to simulate contrasts vs. omnibus ANOVA analyses when you have more than 3 levels of a factor #SIPS2018
The original code will test contrasts (which may have more or less power depending on how you pattern of means match up with the contrast codes). I've added a comment at the top that says how to create factors and then simulate the omnibus ANOVA or interaction effect.
Excited to head off to #Reproducibility2018@chrisdc77 I think you're up to take me to urgent care when I inevitably break something since @deevybee had her turn last year
Nice to see more journals coming out with policies for publishing replications. Different journals are taking different approaches, but still good to see more movement in publishers valuing replications x.com/hjhope/status/95830466…
Great to see #PLOSBiology supporting publication of scooped or complementary (far nicer term) articles. Hope more journals will follow. "The importance of being second" dx.plos.org/10.1371/journal.…
