Time for a little #vibecode show and tell: I made a Spotify jukebox! Made to run on a iPad at parties, it'll be a central spot to search/add songs without jumbling multiple devices or clearing queues on accident (yes, it happens, a lot). Here's a little video showing how it works! #buildinpublic

Breaking Claude News: Fable is smart enough to avoid the ledge-shadow (aka chin shadow) button style everyone loves to hate

You know what? Heck yeah. Bring on The Cones of Dunshire.

if you're an AI nerd just looking for a fun challenge or benchmark, and are running out of "hard" things to test your agents on, I think I've found a hard edge frontier: layouts in the Godot game engine. and not the 3D stuff, just plain ol 2D game buttons/HUDs/layouts. the agents are SO BAD at it. gorgeous websites with design system? one prompt. fully baked iOS apps? a few prompts. multiple multiple Godot sessions with Opus 4.7 and Codex 5.5? still looking like hot garbage. is it just me?

literally any other project I can paste in a screenshot (or just ramble with words) and get a layout that's about 90% the fidelity I'm looking for. but not Godot! and the agents don't "see it" either, despite have visual testing enabled. they look at both (source, and output), wildly off-base, and go "YEP!"

Big news: we bought a house with AI! First time buyers, no realtor, and we just closed way under asking price. First up, big thanks to my realtor, Claude. And another big thanks to my real estate lawyer, Claude. We truly couldn't have done this without my accountant, Claude.

We vibe coded an app that found every property in our area. Then we ranked them all. Then contacted listing agents. We saw our favorites and made an offer. Closed 16% below asking with Claude handling all the negotiations.

If you are familiar with AI and a little bit hard-headed, you can absolutely do this yourself. The other Realtors and the back kind of treated us like crazy people but here we are! Keys in hand and only AI all along the way

So excited to have Miguel cooking again, and I legit think this smoked chicken skewer is the most interesting bite of BBQ I've had in years.
Churchrow Tejas BBQ owner Simon Madera took a risk hiring Miguel Vidal to run his kitchen, but so far it's paying off. texasmonthly.com/bbq/churchr…

QUICK thoughts bout the new @stitchbygoogle updates today at I/O: - I think Claude Design is still cranking out better _looking_ designs - I think the Stitch app is a WAY better design experience Will be really fun to watch those two metric battle each other out

We hired my nephew to playtest a chess game we vibe coded, and starting today (in about 4 hours), you can play him live in the online lobby. This began as a project for the @levelsio @cursor_ai Vibe Jam, but has evolved to full online play, daily puzzles, and a Learn Chess mode. If you enjoy chess, or just wanna support a kid trying to do the thing, come play a game today at chester.superfun.games

Any chess players here? Launching a new chess thing next week. Daily play puzzles, online matches, weird new mechanic. I'm looking for early access testers. Reply or send me a DM if you'd like to play.

Making data > aggregating data
How a final round interview wth Tony Xu (@t_xu) at DoorDash goes: "I'm going to give you 20 minutes and you can ask me any question that you want. But after the 20 minutes expires, I'm going to give you $20 that you can use to go and acquire 100 customers for us, and you have eight hours to do so. But here's also a plane ticket, in case you want to quit the interview now and just move on and find somewhere else to work. So much of what we were trying to test for early on is someone who's going to do something to go and collect information, as opposed to someone who's going to collect data, scrape information from the internet and do some magical analysis on it. What if none of that information existed? You have to go and do things in order to actually collect information."

is it just me or is Claude throwing these rate limit errors (not usage-based) more and more often? I'm on the Max plan and I'm seeing these multiple times per day

Making more progress on the vibe coded VHS capture rig. Couldn't resist adding a tiny display. Will help while recording one clip and chopping another.
