The riddle still remains, however...we may have a clue.
On the Oregon Secretary of State website, we see an Amendment to Annual Report/Info Statement that was updated January, 14th 2026 (post RTFKT sale). Within the statement labeled, Information Change, there is an electronic signature which was signed by Billy Levy whom is listed as an Authorized Person. What role does Billy play within the RTFKT organization? Too early to tell, but he does have signature authorization, which leads me to believe he has a significant role.
This does not necessarily mean that Billy Levy purchased RTFKT. At this point this only means that Billy is the point of contact representing a business entity. Does he own the controlling stake in the entity? We do not know. Interesting that the document says "Foreign Business Corporation" under the TYPE section.

- Co-Founded Mettrum Health Corp., a licensed Canadian cannabis producer acquired by Canopy Growth for around 430 million Canadian dollars in 2016.
-Co-founded Virgin Mega, a mobile commerce platform that Nike later acquired (interesting...)
-Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Rivalry Gaming from 2022-2023
-Co-founded SLANG worldwide, a cannabis CPG company; took it public on the Canadian Securities Exchange in 2019.
-Named one of the High Times 100 Most Influencial People in Cannabis in 2019 alongside his SLANG co-founder.

Serial founder with multiple successful exits, strong track record spotting trends in gaming and cannabis, and partnerships with big names like Branson. He's proven he can build, scale, and cash out.

We still do not know exactly who bought RTFKT. We only know that January 13th, 2026 a non-Nike employee named Billy Levy, whom has signature authorization for whichever company did purchase RTFKT, signed an Information Change document filed with the Oregon Secretary of State.
Based on Billy's successful career as a leader of successful start ups, it seems logical to deduce that he is a major player in the organization that purchased RTFKT. Though, we cannot say that with certainty.
Is this good for RTFKT? Too early to tell. I can only give my opinion here, which I am free to change at any point, I think it's good. He is a successful entrepreneur with a proven track record, an avid gamer, and understands trends early. He has connections across the cryptospace (looks to be some ties to Berachain), and connections with major players.
At the end of the day the roadmap, execution, and innovation are what matter. Where do the new leaders want to take RTFKT? How do they plan to get there? Are they going to foster a healthy relationship between the collectors and creators? Do they truly understand digital property rights and why gamers must have these rights? Do they understand that in NFTs, the floor is the score...if you're announcements aren't moving the floor upwards, it's not because the community doesn't get the vision...it's because the announcement was wack and the vision was blurry. Do they understand how to set a meta and lead?
Once of the most important questions I have is do the new leaders understand how important Chris Le, Takashi Murakami, Zap, Sam C, Dreams, and Jampants are to the continuation of design language and feel of RTFKT? It was the creative collaboration of these geniuses that lead to the success of RTFKT. Will they incorporate this squad into the way forward, or are they going to hire a coverband to attempt to capture the magic? We shall see.
Maybe you don't think the floor is the score, bring on the blurry vision you say. You don't think that an avid gamer with a successful business career can lead RTFKT to new heights, you love coverbands, and think gamers should not be able to own the items they earn in game...in that case...
Go News Yourself!
(Disclaimer: Remember, I didn't say Billy bought RTFKT, only that he signed an Information Change document related to RTFKT, post Nike sale.)
