Today we will meet with media from throughout California and guide them through the recently renovated San Diego California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Soon, thousands will walk through the doors of the temple during an open house as we prepare for the August 23 rededication. It is an amazing blessing to see the Lord’s temples dotting the earth. I love the house of the Lord.

Nowhere should our joy as a people be more apparent than when we gather together each Sabbath in our sacrament meetings to worship the source of all joy!

Here’s a look inside the missionary assignment room. This is where my fellow apostles and I come frequently to assign the thousands of missionaries that are applying to serve missions all over the world. This process is inspired, revelatory, and I love it with all my heart.

We have an heritage that demands our will to be forged in the heat of faith. A faith that burns the a fuel of sacrifice and charity. What was once broken can be reforged and carry the whole earth into the millennial reign of the Prince of Peace. Rise up Zion... Your King is calling.

In late May and early June 2026, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced five humanitarian projects that will help more than half a million people throughout Central America. Sister J. Anette Dennis, First Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, represented the Church during these announcements, alongside members of the Central America Area Presidency. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is coordinating with government agencies and other organizations to support community response efforts following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of Maasim, Sarangani, in Mindanao on Monday, June 8, 2026. The earthquake affected more than 88,000 people and damaged homes, public facilities, roads, utilities, and other infrastructure. Local Church leaders continue to assess needs and determine how best to provide food, water, sanitation, and other immediate assistance. Local Church members, including some who were also impacted by the earthquake, have begun assisting neighbors as communities work to recover. Several Church meetinghouses in affected areas have been opened to accommodate evacuees after being assessed as safe and suitable for use as temporary shelters. Religious freedom is the cornerstone of peace in a world with many competing philosophies. We were privileged to represent The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Canterbury Medal Gala hosted by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania—a fitting venue for celebrating religious liberty. I was honored to offer the invocation at this event. Moral agency, the ability to choose right from wrong and to act for ourselves, is essential to God’s plan of salvation. Religious freedom ensures that people can exercise their agency in matters of faith. We are grateful to be associated with so many wonderful people of faith who we stand with to advocate for religious freedom.

Visiting with missionaries in England recently was immensely nostalgic for me, as I also served as a young missionary in this wonderful country.     Elder Clark G. Gilbert and I were so grateful to spend time with these amazing servants. I testify that missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the world are indeed the Lord’s emissaries.

In the gospel workshop I hosted about hearing God’s voice in an age of artificial intelligence, I invited viewers to take specific actions to deepen their relationships with God, self, others, and the natural world and environment around us. In a world of accelerating technology and artificial intelligence, may we never lose the divine intelligence that matters most—the voice of God. I like X because I can basically build the algorithm to suit my tastes. Some may call it an echo chamber...I call it peace and quiet.

Apparently this is going to be a multiple times a year reminder... Christian is as Christian does.

This is the correct take.
I think people are getting too upset with the Hegseth religion reclassifications. He actually put the real name of our Church which has Christs name in it already. We dont need the label. The rest of them need that qualifier of "Christian". Ours is explicit already. At least he didnt put "The Mormon Church" or "Church of the Lattet-day Saints"

If a cattle rancher doesn't set this up as a marketing campaign they have lost their minds!
Birthday Steak Calendar 2.0 I read your feedback that you wanted exclusively steaks in this calendar. I got rid of the two pork dishes (ribs and ham) and replaced them with picanha and standing rib roast. I can't imagine a certified carnivore being unhappy with any of these.

This must happen. But only if April gets Wagyu Ribeye.
My dumb idea of the day: We should establish something like birthstones, but for men. Instead of each month getting a gemstone, each month gets assigned a cut of meat. January: New York Strip February: Filet Mignon March: Porterhouse And so on. You’d ask a guy his birthday and instead of saying, “Oh, you’re an amethyst,” you’d say, “Ah, February. Filet Mignon. Sensitive, expensive, and a little smaller than expected.” I can hear the commercials already “Celebrate his birth month with the timeless elegance of brisket.”
