Central is in the process of filling its irrigation canals. District employees are working hard to clean out all the debris that gathered in the offseason so they can begin delivering water to their customers.

It's irrigation maintenance season, we are asking our neighbors & customers to please keep fences and cattle off maintenance roads, canal banks and out of canals. Also, a quick reminder for those with pivot crossing permits — you're responsible for filling in pivot tracks.

Central has announced that a hydrocycling period will begin on Oct. 17 at the J-2 Hydroplant and will run until Nov 10. During this period, Johnson Lake typically fluctuates up to two feet as operations are adjusted to minimize the chance of significant flow changes in the Platte

The Schilling Bridge west of Johnson Lake scheduled to open this week will be delayed until next week. CNPPID & Gosper Co. made the decision due to recent rain events and damage caused from vehicles that moved 'Road Closed' barriers and traveled through the construction site.

Buoys were installed near Kingsley Dam at Lake McConaughy to measure significant wave height as well as wind speed and direction to evaluate the best option for the Kingsley Dam refacing project. There is no restricted access near the dam where the buoys are placed.
