Like millions of Canadians, my ancestors left Ireland in the shadow of the famine. They carried hope across the Atlantic and helped build the Canada we know today. To return to Mayo, and receive a welcome such as this, is a testament to the life they built for their children — and to the indomitable spirit of the Irish, everywhere — whose pride in their heritage is unbroken by distance and time.

Kachalla 7-Year Old Terrorist. As Interpreted…….He mentioned the names of his mentors and he said they were about 30 boys of his age being trained on how to shoot guns in the Bush and he goes further to dismantle a gun and how to assemble it and how to use the edge for target while shooting. Below 👇 is the conversation. Elder: We were told someone was teaching you guys how to operate firearms. Boy: Yes, five people have been teaching us how to operate firearms and their names are Ali, Shehu, Umar, Alhaji Shehu, Mallam Horo. Elder: How many of you are there with five people teaching how to operate a firearm? Boy: We are about 30 to 40 people. Adult: Are all of you children or are some older? Boy: Some are younger while some are my age. Adult: Are you guys being trained in the bush or somewhere inside town? Boy: They always take us to the bush for training. Adult: If you were given a firearm right now, would you be able to operate it perfectly? Boy: Yes, I will operate it perfectly. Finally, he was given an AK-47 and he operated it perfectly like a professional. Can you see what we are dealing with?

JUST IN; Former Head of State, Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar (retd.), has revealed that some politicians who publicly championed the cause of Chief MKO Abiola during the June 12 crisis were secretly working with the government, while others collected money from both Abiola’s camp and his opponent, the late Bashir Tofa, during the 1993 presidential election.

Brigadier General Maxwell Mitikushe Khobe. The only Nigerian General to serve as Chief of Defence Staff in another country. In Sierra-Leone, his name is history. Streets were named after him. In August 1997, following a military coup in Sierra-Leone that ousted President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, Khobe was appointed commander of the ECOMOG peacekeeping force in Sierra-Leone Under his leadership, ECOMOG undertook a series of operations to reinstate the legitimate government. His command was marked by strategic offensives that targeted rebel strongholds and weakened their grip on key territories. A significant milestone was the successful assault on Freetown in February 1998. This operation led to the outsting of Major Johnny Paul Koroma's junta and facilitated the reinstatement of President Kabbah. Following the restoration of the civilian government, Khobe was appointed Chief of Defence Staff of Sierra-Leone in April 1998. He focused on restoring the Sierra-Leone military, integrating former combatants and establishing frameworks to prevent future insurrection. On April 18, 2000, Brigadier General Maxwell Khobe passed away. To honor his legacy, Nigeria named a major cantonment in Jo's after him.

I was fixing my lashes when two friends started talking. One said she was craving noodles and asked where she could get some. The other replied, “Iconic, but it’s about ₦2k.” Their married friend laughed and said: “That’s small money. Let me call my husband. I’ll tell him it’s ₦10k.” Her friend even advised, “Just say ₦4k.” She refused. Put the call on speaker and asked for ₦10k to buy food. Her husband said: “Which day that one start to use 10k buy food?” Then he ended the call. 😭 Sis has been explaining all day that maybe he’s just not in a good mood.

🚨🎙️BREAKING: Mikel Obi reacts to Cucurella Madrid Move: 🎙️Mikel: Out of nowhere, it's DONE. Verbal agreement sealed between Chelsea, Real Madrid, and the player himself. Marc Cucurella to the Bernabéu after the World Cup. Here we go. But let's be real, I don't buy for a second that this is some massive loss for Chelsea. If a player's head is turned, eyes on Madrid, and heart not fully at Stamford Bridge... let him walk. Good riddance. Players who don't want to stay, who are physically here but mentally elsewhere? They're poison in the dressing room. Chelsea doesn't need tourists chasing Galáctico dreams. We need warriors ready to bleed for the badge, fight for every tackle, and give everything for the shirt. The kind of mentality that built this club into legends. Enzo Fernández? Same energy. If you "love Madrid" more than you love winning with Chelsea, pack your bags. No player is bigger than the club. Say it louder for the ones in the back. This squad rebuild under the new era needs fighters, not floaters. Players who run through walls, not ones scanning La Liga rumour pages. Sell the ones with one foot out the door and bring in hungry ones who actually want to be here.

🚨🎙️🗣️| RODRIGO DE PAUL: “When we won the World Cup, a week later I received a golden iPhone. I didn’t know who had sent it. Then Otamendi called me and told me: ‘I received a golden iPhone.’ I said: ‘Me too.’ But we didn’t know the source. I found out that all the players received it, but from an unknown source.” “Suddenly, Leo sent me a message saying: ‘I hope you like the phone. You are golden players and you deserve the best. This is a simple gift for you as a token of gratitude for what you’ve done for your country and for me. You are soldiers. All the Argentine players received this message, and with great joy, no one used the phone; instead, each one carefully placed it on the wall as a memento. And what a memento. We are lucky to have a leader like him.” — @MotivacionesF

Everything Japan has achieved is thanks in large part to their coach, Hajime Moriyasu, whose story with the national team is truly remarkable. Moriyasu took charge of Japan in 2017, and since then he has recorded 72 wins in 103 games. Just think about that number. But the impressive part isn’t the statistics — it’s the quality of those victories. He has beaten Germany twice, including a stunning 4-1 win, defeated Spain, Brazil, and Turkey by four goals, and two months ago became the first coach to lead an Asian national team to a victory over England. What makes the story even better is that 36 years ago, while he was on a training stint with Manchester United, he was asked a mocking question: “Do Japanese people even know how to play football?” From that moment on, he set out to build a national team that would earn the respect of the entire football world. A truly great coach ❤️

😳🇮🇷 I don't know if this is good or bad... Iran captain Alireza Jahanbakhsh revealed that he was stopped by members of organized crime while on vacation in Tulum, Mexico. 🇲🇽 😬 According to him, they forced him out of the vehicle, searched him, and took his money. 💰 After taking their cash, one of his friends reportedly said: “Ali, tell them you're from Iran. They're good with Iranians.” 🤯 Jahanbakhsh says that once they found out he was Iranian, they let them go. He also joked that a friend who visits Mexico often claims that cartels “love Iranians,” although he admits he has no idea why.

🚨 Patrice Evra blasts Zlatan over his criticism of Cristiano Ronaldo: 🗣️ Patrice Evra: “Bro, I saw Sweden beat Tunisia 5-1 and the first thing I asked was: 'Where's Zlatan?' Was he at the game? No. Did he watch the game? No. Where was he? At a UFC event. (laughs) That's when I realized maybe I should stop taking football opinions from people who aren't even watching football. The funny thing is that whenever it's time to talk about Ronaldo, everybody suddenly becomes an expert. Everybody has something to say. Everybody has criticism ready. But before you spend all that energy criticizing Cristiano Ronaldo, at least do one thing first. Score a goal at the World Cup. Bro, you never did that.”

🚨 VINI JR JUST TOLD FIFA: “WE’LL PAY THE FINE — BUT NOBODY FROM US IS DOING HALF-TIME INTERVIEWS.” During Brazil’s World Cup match, Vinícius refused the mandatory tunnel interview. Reporter: “You’ll get a huge fine for this.” Vini: “We’ll pay. But nobody is coming to the mic.” This isn’t arrogance. It’s players finally saying enough to FIFA’s corporate circus. Half-time should be for tactics, water, recovery — not feeding the broadcast machine while the game gets sliced up for ads (sound familiar with those forced “welfare” breaks?). FIFA under Infantino has turned football into a product. Mandatory everything. Player focus as an afterthought. Suits in Zurich cashing in. Brazil and Vini just pushed back. Raw. Direct. No bowing to the machine. The beautiful game belongs to the players on the pitch — not boardrooms selling every second. Who else is done with this?
