i asked chatgpt to create a plot outline for a movie where tom cruise has to save a large block of cheese from destroying a retirement community in jacksonville florida. it did not disappoint.
Took me ~2 hours to get this new enemy walking around correctly. I've built enemies like this before, but this time i rotated the entire enemy object to align it to the tile normal. Usually, I would rotate just the sprite, but I wanted to keep the movement code light.

Rotating the entire object means it always moves "right". In most cases the code only has to check two raycasts: one for the ground "below" and one for ground to the "right".
i just consumed what i can only believe is actual fucking molten steel that someone must have put into my coffee mug when i was heating it up in the microwave. 🔥🔥🔥🔥
