The algorithm brings both users and competitors to you every day.
A founder with 200 followers on X might be quietly running a $3k MRR product in the exact space you're exploring.
You'd never discover them if you weren't showing up, posting, and replying to the right people every day.

I'm actually more than happy to see Rob ship the Contacts feature, which is very similar to the idea I've been working on.
It helped me realize some weaknesses in how I ship and communicate features. At the same time, it reinforced that I can stay focused on my own product, since we're solving slightly different problems.
More importantly, it validated the demand and gave me even more confidence that I'm heading in the right direction.
And yes, I still believe in building in public.

(IRL, when ppl see you showing up everywhere, more likely they will remember you and check who you are)
> be authentic, don’t use AI reply tools
(my most liked comments are jokes/opinions AI can’t make)
