This is the next step after the conference and the sustainable servers petition. We'll be working closely with @HertfordshireCS to create a responsible technology development module for their CS MSc. The written course materials will open. We're very pleased about this.

Is climate crisis about macro-decisions not micro (individual) ones?

Yesterday we moved our coedethics site from @squarespace to blogger to comply with the Sustainable Servers by 2024 goals blog.codeethics.org/2019/07/…. It looks less flashy but being blog-based is probably better for a community site anyway

I considered a flat site hosted on S3/cloudfront in a sustainable AWS region but that was more work and we already had a blog on blogger.

I also added the codeethics.org name as everyone misspells coedethics ;-) Might as well go with it

Replying to @coedethics
@coedethics is a group of professionals actively thinking about how "to maximize the good and minimize the harm caused by our software to individuals, society and the environment". It's really good to see such initiatives on this important topic. #Ethics #Technology

Really looking forward to the #beyondtech conference that, thanks to @coedethics, I'll get to attend today. Ethics in the industry as a whole, in the tech we build and how we approach each other; D&I, neurodiversity and psychological safety. The things that truly matter.
