From @coloredbitcoin, we clearly and concisely present the facts regarding the BitMeta project: Key points about the current situation: Repeated delays in promised deadlines → Specific dates were announced for important advancements (including mainnet, full stack AVM, minting/indexing/transfers operational from day 1, native privacy in L1, etc.) that were not met within the established timeframes.
Lack of visible and concrete results → Despite multiple updates and promises of "Bitcoin L1 evolution," key milestones have not materialized within the agreed timeframe, generating frustration among the base.
Poor communication and erosion of trust → Public promises without clear follow-up, lack of transparency in actual progress, and insufficient responses to community inquiries.
Direct Impact on Key Communities → The Latin American and Chinese communities, which have been fundamental drivers of adoption and mining on Atomicals/ARC-20, have been the most affected by this uncertainty.
For these objective and verifiable reasons, the Colored Bitcoin community no longer endorses or actively supports the BitMeta project. Our firm position and clear commitments going forward: We prioritize real and decentralized development on Bitcoin L1 — no hype or empty promises.
Total transparency in every step and update.
Concrete actions > vague promises — measurable results or nothing.
Strengthening the Atomicals protocol as the most native, pure, and proven solution for colored coins on Bitcoin: fair PoW, tokens backed 1:1 by satoshis, accessible GPU mining, and AVM only when it is truly functional and usable.
Unconditional support for the community that builds with facts: honest mining, real adoption, and unity around what works.
Bitcoin's evolution must come from proposals that deliver, not postpone. We remain 100% focused on what has proven its value: Colored Bitcoin and Atomicals as a solid foundation.

I'm always exploring how Bitcoin can evolve without losing its decentralized essence. Today, I want to share a detailed thread on why Atomicals is the most native Layer 1 (L1) protocol on Bitcoin. Forget the myths: not all protocols on BTC are created equal. Let's break it down step by step, based on technical facts and the current state in 2026.
The Rise of L1 Protocols on Bitcoin: Bitcoin isn't just "digital gold." Since the Taproot upgrade in 2021, we've seen an explosion of protocols that allow you to create digital assets directly on the main chain (L1). This includes NFTs, fungible tokens, and more, all grounded in Bitcoin's unbeatable security. Key Players: Ordinals: Encode data (like JSON or images) into individual satoshis.
BRC-20 and Runes: Standards for fungible tokens, inspired by Ethereum's ERC-20.
Atomicals (and ARC-20): A purer approach, treating satoshis as verifiable "atomic" units.
In 2026, according to reports from KuCoin and Grayscale Research, the Bitcoin ecosystem grew to a TVL of over $1.1 trillion in L1 and L2 tokens. But not all tokens are "native" in the same way. Atomicals stands out for its deep integration with Bitcoin's UTXO model.
