Led by @KatMillage, our new paper proposes a novel institution that utilizes leased fishing zones inside of MPAs to finance monitoring and enforcement. We find that these areas can fully finance enforcement, deter illegal fishing, and maximize fish biomass iopscience.iop.org/article/1…
