Hidden as it counters the narrative sold as the only 'truth' On 21 May 1980, fifteen men walked into a place they would never walk out of. Operation Tiro a Tiro. The name itself tells you something, Portuguese for "shot for shot." No retreat. No negotiation. Just close-quarters killing until one side stopped moving. The mission was a UNITA support operation deep in Southern Angola. The target: an enemy base complex at Savate, bristling with FAPLA regulars and PLAN insurgents. Intelligence said the complex was defended. Intelligence didn't say how heavily. When the Buffalo Soldiers of 32 Batallion made contact, they found themselves staring down a force that outnumbered them catastrophically. Not two-to-one. Not five-to-one. Closer to forty-to-one. What happened next defies military logic. In desperate, close-quarter fighting—the kind where you can see the whites of eyes, where rifles become clubs and men die in arm's reach of each other, this small element of 32 Battalion carved through nearly 600 enemy troops. Killed. Many more wounded. Others captured. The cost was fifteen of their own. Four officers. Two NCOs. Nine riflemen. These men fought together, bled together, died together, in a war the world has decided to forget, for a cause history has decided to misremember because it would hurt the narrative. A kill ratio approaching 40:1. In close combat. Against a fortified position. With no air support, no artillery prep, no numerical advantage of any kind. Rest in peace. You are not forgotten.

If you want to know why the majority of Afrikaners in this country feel excluded, angry and some who are considering leaving for the USA, then consider the following: For the last 15 years, at every opportunity, one of South Africa's biggest political parties has been singing songs about killing Afrikaners. You can try to explain it away, but the fact that a genocidal song is being sung in 2025 indicates how vile our government is, and anyone who sings it or defends it. Yes, even the constitutional court, which so many people are defending. I wonder if these same individuals will defend the abhorrent judgments by the courts in defence of Apartheid. For the last 31 years, every white South African has at some point been accused of defending or causing Apartheid, being a racist, or being told they aren't South African. For the last 28 years, white South Africans have had to face discriminatory policies in the name of redress and transformation. Yet here we are in 2025 with the overwhelming majority of people who were disadvantaged still being disadvantaged, and instead of blaming the government, the media and many people still blame white South Africans. Every year the racial policies increase, there is clearly no intention to stop these policies because it was never about redress or transformation; it was about revenge. Even today, 31 years into our democracy, new generations of white South Africans have to suffer for the sins of SOME fathers. For the last 187 years, Afrikaners have celebrated the Day of the Vow. It is without a shadow of a doubt our culture's most sacred day of the year. We are mocked and told that we are being selfish for celebrating the day with God and others from our culture instead of celebrating a holiday that the ANC implemented in 1994. Think about that for a second, our vow goes back 187 years, and yet we are mocked and belittled by mainstream media, politicians, their political parties and followers for not celebrating a day that the ANC chose to put on the same day as our most sacred day. The definition of being a refugee includes persecution. Looking at what was mentioned above, I dare anyone to tell me that white South Africans in this country aren't being persecuted. Of course, as with everything in life, some might choose to ignore it, or aren't impacted by it and thus will deny it is taking place, some will lie because it's in their best interest to do so, whether to keep their jobs or to make money for denying it. The fact of the matter is, when we became a democracy in 1994, the promise by the then government was that "Never, never and never again shall it be that this beautiful land will again experience the oppression of one by another" Based on the number of race-based laws, songs about killing people due to their skin colour/culture, the accusations and insults, I think it's clear for anyone to see that the above quote is just that, a quote. Every single metric in this country indicates that this country is moving in the wrong direction. It's not based on emotions or opinions, or even "racism" as so many will accuse you of when you mention it, but rather it's in every single analysis, every metric, every statistic. The only way this country can move forward and be the best that it can be is to stop looking in the rear-view mirror for grief porn because guess what, every single one of the races that make up this beautiful nation suffered at one point or another... if we continue to look in the rear-view mirror, then we are bound to lose sight of the future and we WILL have an accident. The only way to fix this mess is to acknowledge that there is a problem, and for once, to remove race from the equation and get rid of the CANCER that is robbing every single South African of a better future. But based on what I have seen over the last 31 years, it seems that the death spiral will continue because it's easier to blame people for the past than to hold people responsible for their failures in the present. This inevitability leads to the question that hasn't been answered for the last few decades... Where does the legacy of Apartheid end, and the failure by the ANC government begin?
