Every argument by egalitarian apologists just further illustrates that they are incapable of sound Biblical understanding. They cannot do basic hermeneutics.
A pet peeve re: the SBC annual meeting is when the question is called before a motion has had the chance to be debated adequately. It’s a shrewd tactic but it’s poor form & doesn’t serve the messengers well. You don’t need to strong-arm a strong motion. #sbc26
What is actually harmful is telling women that the only way they can have value in the Church is to abandon both the truth of God’s Word as well as what God created them for.
Ladies, submit to God’s good purposes. There is joy and delight to be found there.
Today, the SBC voted again to further restrict women in pastoral roles in churches all across the country.
Baptist Women in Ministry laments this decision and the harmful messages it amplifies.

The biggest difference between theological liberals of old and modern theological liberals is that they used to tell the truth.
They used to readily acknowledge that they denied orthodoxy.
Now they lie, often to themselves, and call it pragmatism.
There’s alternative history developing around the amendment already, which needs to be clarified.
The Amendment directly addresses a narrow aspect of function. But it does not define function, or say there is only one aspect of function the SBC might ever consider.
The issues of women in pastoral and pastoral-like positions within the SBC could be easily resolved if we just stopped inventing extra-biblical positions within the Church.
There are Elders (Pastors) and Deacons. There’s no such thing as a “Children’s Pastor.”
Abandoning Biblical truth because of people in our lives who don’t like it is the exact same reasoning that “christians” use when supporting homosexuality.
Luke 14:26 is in the Bible for this exact reason.
I have at times cited an example I hope all agree on to highlight this point. In Jude 21 Christians are called to “save” others by snatching them out of the fire of their self-destroying lusts.
Then immediately after in Jude 25 He concludes the letter with a benediction calling Jesus the only God “our Savior.”
The “office” and “function” of Savior is agreed upon by all evangelicals to belong to Christ alone, such that whatever role a saint plays in helping another Christian avoid ship wrecking their faith belongs in a different category.
This isn’t to suggest the pastoral office/function is on par with Christ’s mediatorial office/work, but merely to amplify that even when the same word is used in reference to different groups of people and their activities/responsibilities, we all instinctively avoid concept-creep.
How much more careful should we be when we this isn’t the case, as Doug highlights above in his analysis of the usage of shepherd/shepherding in the NT.
I am thankful and generally enthusiastic about where we are in the SBC. I am just one man, and I don’t claim to speak for anyone else. But here are 10 reasons I am optimistic:

I’m sure the reason baptism numbers are up and membership numbers continue to drop in the SBC doesn’t have anything to do with false converts being baptized in an effort to look impressive to people who think they can systematize the work of the Holy Spirit.
Probably unrelated.
Unless someone is playing some sort of online character, there is no chance one can be mad all time on this here app and be a healthy person.
Online crazy usually equals offline brokenness/dysfunction. If that’s you, log off, sit down with some dudes, and confess. Heal up.
Remember that the same crowd mocking Churches following Biblical patterns of conflict resolution call you an abuser for not wanting to blacklist men based on accusations without evidence, in direct defiance by of what Scripture commands.
Weigh their opinions accordingly.
What a beautiful thing. TMZ is how these people deserve to get covered. Not with the weepy piety of hill reporters who all have politicians in their profile pictures but sicko, unhinged papparazzi who believe in nothing.
NEW: TMZ has decided to up their presence in the political space — they’ve even added a Hill team.
“Our DC presence will be sometimes fun, sometimes intensely serious,” Harvey Levin told @NOTUSreports

Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise.

Feminism is the most anti-female movement, and not only does lies to and attack women, it attacks God and His Word.
