"Over the past year, the E-bike Lending Library has loaned bikes more than 500 times, with borrowers traveling more than 16000 miles since the program began. ... [this year, borrowers who later purchased] will travel more than 328,000 miles on e-bikes."

Here are four pictures taken of bike lanes in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston in the month of February.
ALT An off-street separated cycle path is shown with around 20 bikes riding in it. In the foreground is a small child (around 6-7) riding in front of an adult; further up the bike mix includes a mix of cargo bikes. There is one car pictured in the road lane to the left of the bikes.
ALT A photo at night of a bike lane with flexposts on the side. In the bike travel lane there are approximately 4 or 5 cyclist visible; there are no cars visible on the road next to the cyclists.
ALT A line of around 7 bicyclists wait at a stop light in a bright green painted bike lane. There are two cars stopped at hte light to their left, and a large bus only lane to their right. They are wearing winter weather gear, and the sky is overcast.
ALT A line of 8 bikers enter into an off-street cycletrack next to a construction area. One is pulling a bright yellow Burley trailer.
Today~130 people joined the Peabody/RAUC #bikebus celebrated #NationalBikeToSchoolDay with our very own marching band by bike, courtesy of members of the School of HONK. Only the @bikepedantic mastermind could conceive and pull this off. Best Bike Bus ever.
If you're in the Somerville area and missing your white mid-step RadMission, it may have been parked at 64 Derby Street. Folks in the comments have asked the OP to check bikeindex. (Puprle lock, front fender, no rear, the rad-sold GUB cell phone mount.)

The Cambridge City Council voted to delay the CSO by 18 months after close to 300 people testified feeling unsafe on our streets. Thanks to my colleagues who voted with me opposed to this delay @cllrsiddiqui @realBurhanAzeem@VoteJivan thx @cambbikesafety for your support.

Join us for a precipitation free Sunday! (the true start of spring?) Do most of your research in one place! If you already own a cargo bike help a family make the best decision for them.
Cargo bike curious? Come to our test drive event, talk to parents who have a variety of kinds, and test drive them in a comfortable park environment. familybikeride.org/testdrive

ALT How — and Why — To Start a Neighborhood E-Bike Library
American advocates are loaning out e-bikes to their neighbors — and creating flocks of new riders.
There's lots of people you shouldn't vote for. The Anti-Change Crew did a really good job of recruiting candidates, and are attempting to basically turn back the clock on city progress. This is incredibly important.
Tell your friends what is at risk. Get them to vote.
Thanks to @familybikerides for another great event today: more than 250 bikes joined for bike to bike trick or treating and a ride from Magnolia Park in Arlington to Joey's Park in Belmont. Huge thumbs up to @SomervilleSnow for everything he does to make these events a success.
Here are two invite codes for Bluesky.

I am much happier on Mastodon than on Bluesky (especially for #mapoli), but I'm happier on either than on Twitter.
Also, if your account is public, don't bother just publicly posting a bsky code, it seems. all 5 of the ones i just posted were instantly snapped up by accounts that look almost certain to be spambots.

(I do still occasionally reply to things on Twitter; I tend to check in every now and again, and mostly continue to be happy with my choice to be elsewhere. But sometimes I find that there are conversations going on here that I wish could be happening on Any Other Service.)
