What’s everyone’s thoughts on this proposed change to the ZEV Mandate? It’s a painful transition for manufacturers, but some of that is their own doing. Will relaxing the mandate encourage manufacturers to slow down their transition to EV’s, or does it provide much needed breathing space? And with Chinese manufacturers hitting the U.K. hard with some great products, will this slowdown hinder legacy manufacturers if they take a breather? The Peugeot E-208 GTi is a car that I’m both excited by and disappointed by. Whilst Peugeot has made a huge effort to bring some fun into the EV world, it’s almost 7 years since the E-208 had launched, meaning the GTi won’t be here for long. But what’s disappointing is the lack of battery capacity and efficiency. With either 218 or 233 miles of range WLTP (depending on tyre choice), and with an 80% recommended charge, range could be as low as 174 miles WLTP. However in the real-world - and reducing that by 20% - range could just 140 miles. In winter that will be closer to 100 miles at 80% state of charge. peugeot.co.uk/models/new-peu… Graeme
