This afternoon, I had the honor of sharing a few encouraging words at the Relay for Life of the Grand Strand at North Myrtle Beach Middle School.
Today is about celebrating survivors, encouraging those battling cancer, and remembering the loved ones we’ve lost. I was especially thinking of my youngest brother, Matt, who passed away from cancer 17 years ago at just 31.
Since his passing, hundreds of thousands of lives have been saved thanks to the generosity of so many. Those donations have helped fund breakthroughs, improve treatments, and extend lives. Cancer is a formidable enemy, and if we’re going to defeat it, we have to keep pushing forward.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made today so meaningful.
