Vor circa einem Jahr stand der Bitcoin-Kurs bei 74.000 $ und es war noch alles andere als absehbar, dass die USA eine Pro-BTC-Regierung haben werden. Jetzt etablieren die USA eine strategische Bitcoin-Reserve, suchen nach Strategien, um weitere BTC zu kaufen, machen auf die positiven Eigenschaften des Assets aufmerksam und erklären, dass es ein Vorteil ist, anderen Ländern hierbei voraus zu sein. Und der Bitcoin-Kurs steht nur bei 84.000 $ – unglaublich!

Strategische Bitcoin Reserve Was ist passiert? Was hat das zu bedeuten? Vorsicht: Längerer Post. Was ist passiert? - Die Bitcoin-Reserve ist da. - Lutnick SOLL sich Strategien überlegen, mehr BTC zu akkumulieren (neutral für Steuerzahler). - BTC und Altcoins werden klar getrennt und unterschieden. - Konfiszierte Altcoins werden vorerst gehalten (müssen aber nicht). KEINE weiteren Altcoins werden gekauft.
 Rhetorik: - BTC als digitales Gold in der EO anerkannt. - BTC als „einzigartiger Wertspeicher, den man für sich nutzen muss“ anerkannt. - Spieltheoretische Sprache im Text: „Bei 21 Millionen ergibt es Sinn, unter den ersten zu sein.“ Was bedeutet das? Im Rahmen einer Executive Order geht es kaum besser!! Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass die Bundesstaaten jetzt auch ihre Bitcoin-Reserve anlegen, steigt enorm durch die EO. Wenn die USA Millionen Bitcoin akkumulieren wollen, bräuchten sie den Senat und das House dafür. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Senat und House einem möglichen Kauf wie im Lummis-Vorschlag zustimmen, ist gesteigert, wenn mehrere Bundesstaaten schon eine Reserve haben. (Weil beide Kammern von Mitgliedern der Staaten bestückt werden ;)) Diese Ankündigung ist der letzte Ritterschlag für Bitcoin. - Kein Vermögensverwalter kann es sich jetzt noch leisten, Bitcoin zu ignorieren. - Kein Staat kann es sich leisten, nicht mittelfristig über Bitcoin nachzudenken, geschweige denn, welche zu verkaufen. - Das Spielfeld ist eröffnet, und als Bitcoiner kennt man die Züge, die passieren werden. Alles ist vorbereitet. - Die ETFs sind etabliert. - Banken können BTC halten. - Institutionen positionieren sich. Und jetzt hat das Weiße Haus zugegeben, dass es Bitcoin braucht. Nicht irgend ein Staat, sondern der mächtigste Staat der Welt. - Die Unterscheidung von Bitcoin zu Krypto wurde klar getroffen. - Die strategische Relevanz wurde hervorgehoben. - Eine strategische Reserve wurde aufgesetzt. - Weitere Bitcoin sollen in die Reserve folgen. Just a few minutes ago, President Trump signed an Executive Order to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. The Reserve will be capitalized with Bitcoin owned by the federal government that was forfeited as part of criminal or civil asset forfeiture proceedings. This means it will not cost taxpayers a dime. It is estimated that the U.S. government owns about 200,000 bitcoin; however, there has never been a complete audit. The E.O. directs a full accounting of the federal government’s digital asset holdings. The U.S. will not sell any bitcoin deposited into the Reserve. It will be kept as a store of value. The Reserve is like a digital Fort Knox for the cryptocurrency often called “digital gold.” Premature sales of bitcoin have already cost U.S. taxpayers over $17 billion in lost value. Now the federal government will have a strategy to maximize the value of its holdings. The Secretaries of Treasury and Commerce are authorized to develop budget-neutral strategies for acquiring additional bitcoin, provided that those strategies have no incremental costs on American taxpayers. IN ADDITION, the Executive Order establishes a U.S. Digital Asset Stockpile, consisting of digital assets other than bitcoin forfeited in criminal or civil proceedings. The government will not acquire additional assets for the Stockpile beyond those obtained through forfeiture proceedings. The purpose of the Stockpile is responsible stewardship of the government’s digital assets under the Treasury Department. PROMISES MADE, PROMISES KEPT President Trump promised to create a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and Digital Asset Stockpile. Those promises have been kept. This Executive Order underscores President Trump’s commitment to making the U.S. the “crypto capital of the world.” I want to thank the President for his leadership and vision in supporting this cutting-edge technology and for his rapid execution in supporting the digital asset industry. His administration is truly moving at “tech speed.” I also want to thank the President’s Working Group on Digital Asset Markets — especially Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick — for their help and support in getting this done.
